review - beauty products Friday, July 22, 2005 pantene has launched a new leave in hair moisturizer, that is said to be able to reduce fizziness of your hair by 80%.i have been using pantene conditioner all the while, which i find is pretty good. so i decided to give their leave in conditioner a try. ![]() so the experiment goes.... Equipment: shampoo (brandless lousy cheapskate conditioning shampoo provided by the gym) rinse off conditioner (pantene smooth and silky rinse off conditioner) leave in conditioner (PANTENE LEAVE ON MOISTURISER, the product of review) large towel (to dry the hair lah. no, haor dryer will damage the hair more) hair (ah bo..) Testing medium: dry like hay rebonded, dyed and highlighted chemically damaged hair. step 1 : washed hair with shampoo. (hair felt like wire rope aft the wash.) step 2 : slap on ALOT (about the size of a 4cm diameter ball) of rinse off conditioner. (hair was so much softer, at least can detangle) step 3 : dry hair till water not dripping out from the hair ends anymore step 4: evenly comb through PANTENE LEAVE ON MOISTURISER (about size of a 50 cts coin) on the hair ends. results: hair became very stiff. felt very heavy. got a waxy feel when i touched my hair, even on the next day. feels like i apply too much hair wax. i dun feel my hair is smooth and silky at all!!! so the nxt day i decided to try the product again. repeated in exact accordance steps 1-4 above, but this time i used lesser PANTENE LEAVE ON MOISTURISER (size of a 20 cent coin). results : no more waxy feel. hair felt smooth and silky indeed. so conclusion: the leave in conditioner did life up to my expectations, but use moderately. the more the better is not neccessarily true for this case. |
