news Tuesday, July 12, 2005 was watching news on channel 8 last night...*** the defamation lawsuit on the NKF against SPH? and the salary of NKF's CEO was revealed. copied from straits time interactive (link of the article here): Gasps could be heard in the courtroom when it was revealed that on top of his $25,000 a month salary, he also received 10 to 12 months in yearly bonuses. That makes his annual salary between $550,000 and $600,000, or $1.8 million in total over the past three years. WAH KAU!! the first thing that came into my mind was : heng i never donate for the NKF charity that was just over. 10-12 mths bonus? thats a fucking lot. i dun mind quitting my job and getting a 40% paycut if i can get a 12 mth bonus. thats too much man. really. and to think he is already drawing such a high mthly salary. ask him to donate his 12 mth bonus out lahz. *** then there was this snippet where the pple were shifting an orstrich from pulau ubin to jurong bird park because of the current bird flu. the scene where they transported the orstrich into the wooden crate reminds me of megadescar. but thats not my point. they interviewed the owner (an old uncle) and show a scene where a jurong bird park personnel gave the owner a friends of juring bird park card. and the card was presented to the old uncle in the way like he won a hundred million cash in a lucky draw. hand shakes, poses, pple taking pics and all. eh?? wats the big deal abt a friends of jurong bird park card?? stupid right?? y dun they give him a $500 ez-link card so that he can take mrt to jurong to see his ostrich? i think the ez-link card will be better appreciated. *** president star charity. yet another charity show. please lah, singaporeans very poor already. stop asking us to donate $$ already can? CPF cut, bus fare increase, gst increase, erp increase. but pay no increase. then every now and then there is a charity fund raising. y dun the government take all the earnings from 4D/toto/big sweep and donate to charity. this way u are helping the gambling addicted singaporeans do some good deeds too. *** singaporeans should all coperate and be more alert on suspicious looking objects/parcels/bags. especially after thte london bombing, total defence is important. everyone has a part to play. should we see any suspicious objects, we should inform the police right away. ~ yeah, sure. since singapore police are so damn eng. let them do some work lahz. we dun pay tax to pay the policeman to shake leg in the police post, right? *** p/s: lets guess who will be singapore's next president. will reveal the odds when the candidates are out. :p |
