head big big Tuesday, July 27, 2004 today is my 2nd day of work and my head is getting bigger by the min. =Sall the technical terms and jargons they use are all alien to me. i cant even visualise what kind of boats they are building. i am getting alot of emails but i dun understand what they are talking about. and worse still, my purchasing manager is new too!! he just joined the company early this july. DUH!!! theres alot of things that he dunno too. like he wanted me to prepare a PO and i asked him where is the format for preparing PO. he said he dunno too. DUH!! DUH!! then how am i suspposed to know?? but i'll treat this as a new expierence and a new challenge for me. hopefully i will learn fast enough cause my manager is going to be outstationed next week and that means i'll be alone in sgp?? wuith another new guy that is coming in tml?? *HEAD BIG BIG* woke up at 7.15 today. it was a very big struggle. i was fighting fiercely with the ZZZZ monster and lickily with the help of some reinforcement troups from momo and dad, i won the battle. reached my office at 8.50. this is the first time i went orchard so early. ehhhh, no, i think its not the first time. the first time was i when i went to orchard at 6.30 in the MORNING to queue for the japanese hello kitties. yeah man, i have the whole set of kitties at home. *smug look* well at least that was my only collection. i cant imagine i have to wake up so early for the next 1 mth?? the next 1 year?? the next 3 years even?? i dare not even think abt it. taking the mrt in the morning can be a bery horrifying expierence too. with pple pushing and shoving and squeesing in into the train even though it is already full to the brim. i always wonder how manay pple can the mrt train really carry. cause even though its already full till the passengers already have their nostrillssmack on the train door, but yet at every stop, even though nobody is alighting, i noticed that there are still new passangers who will manage to find squeese into the train. its like magic to me. at every stop, the train just grows bigger to accomodate more pple. anyway, i think it is my karma (good or bad, u decide) that i always sit near my boss. either infront or beside. in dsta, my cubicle was beside my manager's. in be, i was sitting in front of johnny. and in my new work place, im sitting in front of my manager again!!! which means no eating snake for me as our desks is like just 1 or 2 m apart?? and my boss is using a notebook and my moniter is a 17" moniter. so he can easily see what im doing (yes, i've already confirmed this point from his seat). which means: NO MSN. DAMN SIAN SIAL!!!! and the office is using apple, which im not familiar with. though everybody tells me that apple is user friendly, but i dun think so. the only thing is that the suppliers here treat us so much better. but of course. when i was in be, i used to think that a S$5000 order is already very big deal. but over here, we are buying parts that are costing USD ten thousands in value. and i thought i can handle very complex issues with my training in be. but now i realised that over here, we are trying to solve conflicts that may cost the company millions of dollars. i have been living in a turtle shell so far. welcome to the big world, little girl. |
